Program
The requirements was to arrive at an
optimized design for ITC Re-dried tobacco warehousing in the Mysore
region. The warehouses were to be in modules of 20,000 square meters,
with associated spaces including a North Light inspection area, and
loading / unloading areas.
Approach
The preliminary design was determined by
statutory rules and regulations, this design was then fine tuned based
on other parameters such as logistics, floor space utilization,
construction costs, natural lighting and ventilation,
Scope
The design basis report covered the
approach to the design, the evaluation of various options and concluded
with the detail specifications and drawings of the ideal warehouse
design. The report also covered, utilities and site infrastructure and
planning.
