The brief was to provide six residential units and as much commercial space as practicable. The vertical zoning of uses within a single building helps capitalize on the high commercial value at the lower level while ensuring privacy for the residential units at the upper level. The duplex residential units open out onto a large terrace garden giving them the feel of town houses.
